Photography is one of the modern world’s most rewarding pleasures that we can enjoy for a whole lifetime. We all want to store our memories and be able to look back on times with families, friends, and remember days gone by. Not only that, we also want to feel good about ourselves, but often when confronted with a permanent record of our image, we’re flooded with wishes and dreams of change.

Today it’s so easy to get lost in ideas of how we should look, how we should dress and who we should be. Daily forced to worship the tyranny of perfection, we’re told that how we look isn’t good enough, therefore we will never be successful, never be beautiful and never lead a happy life unless we change to become their idea of perfection. An impossible goal, these images in the media are manipulated to be unreal and unobtainable, yet we’ll still desire to be like them all the same.

Using my studies in Japanese ideals, especially in the beauty in imperfection, I strive to create an environment where you can feel at complete ease, but most importantly, with confidence when having your photograph taken. No matter what shape or size, you do not need to change, and are beautiful being you. We shouldn’t have to all be the same to be happy in life, and I want to celebrate you for you.
