MediationNZ is an alternative dispute resolution service which assists people
to find their own private solutions to a problem without the need to litigate.
By using MediationNZ, clients will resolve their disputes quickly, confidentially and most importantly minimise the costs of using legal and other professional fees, of resolving disputes. What's more they will remove the stress of going through the Court process.
Mediation is a method of alternative dispute resolution in which the parties try to resolve a

It is a private, flexible and informal process where a mediator and disputing parties dispute or reach a settlement with the assistance work together to find a solution that is acceptable to everyone. The parties, not the mediator, make the decisions about the terms of their agreement.

Wendy Matthews, founder of MediationNZ is a qualified independent Mediator with a background in law. Prior to moving into mediation Wendy spent 12 years practising as a barrister & lawyer operating her own chambers in central Auckland. After experiencing first hand the escalation of disputes that could have been settled more quickly and inexpensively through mediation, rather than the Courts, Wendy trained as a mediator and created MediationNZ.
