  • Being able to help clients create a new system when they're expanding is great!   One of my clients is levelling up her social media posting. Using the IG OrganiSZer has been her lifesaver, as it has kept her over 500 posts with all their captions, images, graphics and videos in perfect order.   Having it all in order allows her to plan her Instagram grid as she creates future content and when she's ready to post, it's all there, at her fingertips.   With moving to the next level she wanted to categorise her existing content, to re-purpose it. This equates to putting her content into content pillars, which she was doing but she wasn't labelling each post as such.   Wanting to organise the content that relates to each pillar, we had a brainstorming session to discuss what she needed to achieve this.   It took about an hour to figure out the bones of what would be the easiest way for her to create these categories and these were the steps we followed: 1. We looked at the big picture to see what she needed to achieve. 2. Looked at the categories she had come up with and created an abbreviation framework. 3. She had a folder set containing 1 folder for each content pillar, so we used a numbering system to keep them in the order in which she wanted them. 4. Now that the structure is in place, she's going to work through her content captions, including the relevant content pillar abbreviation in the title of each post, where they apply. 5. Once done, she's going to make a copy of the post folder and move the copy into the relevant content pillar folder, so that she can work with the copy, to create a repurposed post.   It's great to repurpose content, especially when you have a lot of great content but it can be a big job, if you're not organised about it!   I am very pleased I was able to help come up with a system that works!   If you need any help creating a system like this for yourself, book a free coffee catch up and we can talk about it!   Big hugs🤗💖 Ursula   🎉   #igorganiszer #havaplan #makeaplan #beorganized #beorganised #getorganised #getorganized #plantosucceed #planforsuccess #organisetosucceed #organizetosucceed #createasystem

  • Hackers are a big nuisance these days.   Two of my friends, have had their FB accounts hacked. One, unable to get hers back to date; not sure whether the other has managed to get hers back.   Try as one might if hackers think your account is juicy enough to use they will get in no matter how much protection we put in place.   My few tips for today to try an minimise the risk of getting hacked are the following:   1. Turn on two-factor authentication. 2. Set up alternative login email addresses so you can log into your account with more than one email address. 3. Set up the 'get help from a friend' option on your Facebook account through the Meta backend. 4. Use a password manager like Norton, TrendMicro or Roboform to securely store your passwords for sites you log into through your browser. 5. If you use Norton 360, turn on the Secure VPN option and install it on your phone and other devices you use to access your social media accounts. 6. Use something like Norton Anti-track to block trackers. 7. Look out for messages on any messaging app that seem a little odd, even if they are from people you know. Contact them a different way and ask if it was them. 8. If you get messages on any messaging app from someone who seems to know you but you don’t know them, don't respond. Google the phone number, often it will tell you if it's a scammer. 9. If you get emails from Instagram or Facebook telling you someone tried to log in, take them seriously and see where the login attempt came from. If it wasn't you, report it.   Here is a link to an article I found with more advice for securing your account: https://lnkd.in/gjAFP9pA   For me the most important start place is to keep all your content secure, organised and in order on your PC; if you lose your account, you have everything you need to start again! IG OrganiSZer for the win!   Hope this is of some use to you all! Good luck with keeping your accounts safe!! • Happy Tuesday All! Hope your week is going well so far! I got the most awesome client review and it was such an unexpected and pleasant surprise, I thought I'd share it with you! Lauren is one of my IG OrganiSZer students and she was having trouble with her IG and Facebook accounts as they were incorrectly linked, she didn't have two-factor authentication set up and she wasn't quite as organised as what she wanted to be. Lauren is a graphic designer so she put together this amazing graphic design course where she teaches you how to pick your brand colours, how to go about picking your brand fonts and then what sort of photography will suite your brand and she also teaches you how to make your own graphics elements to use on your social media posts which is SO amazing. It is such a well thought-out, put together and structured course it really turns graphic design into a paint by number exercise and it is SUCH FUN! Excuse the digression, but I just had to tell you how great Lauren's course is! Anyway, in a jiffy, we got her accounts straightened out, sorted out the two-factor authentication and Lauren then worked through my course and has found it hugely helpful with getting and keeping things organised. The short story here is if something is causing you grief in your business because it's not organised or it's not working the way you want it to, don't tolerate it as it will cost you time and money. Give yourself the time to get it sorted out and you will eliminate the frustration as well as the time wasting! My mantra for the day is: "Be wise—organiSZe!" Big hugs till next time 🤗💖💝 Ursula 🥂 #igorganiszer #igtips #instagramming #solopreneurs #SmallBizLove #investinginyourself #Organiser #ProductivityTips #SaveTime #OneNote #getorganized #beorganized #clientlove

  • #celebratesuccess Hi All, I am excited to let you all know that I have finally completed my IG OrganiSZer course updates and I wanted to celebrate my success withyou!! The IG OrganiSZer is a system that teaches solopreneurs how to manage the content they create to promote their business on Instagram. With doing that, we create such a lot of content and it's SO easy to get it all into a mess and not know where you've saved what. This is a system based on using OneNote in conjunction with folder structures and naming conventions to keep everything in order and to help you build your grid so that it looks the way you want it to and not like a dog's breakfast. It's a self-paced online course and you get support either though leaving comments on the lessons or by attending the weekly Q&A call where you get to ask your questions and get live support from me. I started doing the updates last year, took off with a hiss and a roar putting together a Trello board of all the videos and what had to be done, whether it was a full retake or an edit and whether there were accompanying lesson, OneNote and/or spreadsheet changes that had to be done. It felt quite daunting but in a short space of time I completed the retake of the videos I had to replace, made the changes to the OneNote and the spreadsheets and then set about editing all the new videos and reediting the ones that were staying. Because I was away from home for 10 weeks from the end of May till the beginning of August, taking care of things on Arapawa Island for my friends while they were salmon fishing in Alaska, the update completely stalled. We were then away for another month during October, so once again, complete standstill. I did a bit of editing when we came back at the end of October but made not much significant progress. When I started the 12 Week Year programme in November, I added completing the updates as one of my goals but I wasn't specific, just setting a goal for doing 3-4 hours of editing each week. I managed to do quite a bit though but didn't get them all finished by the end of my first 12 Week Year. I started my second 12 Week Year two and a bit weeks ago, I am currently in week 3, with the goal set to complete the updates but this time I was specific—in week 1 finish this one, in week 2 finish this one etc and on Tuesday, two days ago, I finished editing and uploading the last one and so my update is now complete!!! Whoop whoop! Because I teach systems rather than how to use the apps for running social media on Instagram, not much changes and when there is an app update it doesn't affect what I teach. Anyway, I just wanted to share that success as it is such a HUGE thing for me, I now have the freedom to add another goal to the remaining 9 weeks of my second 12 Week Year!! Enjoy the rest of your week and here is to YOUR success. Big hugs 🤗💝 Ursula

  • Happy Valentine's Day everyone!! Hope you have an awesome day!   Digital organiSZation doesn't only relate to computer files, it relates to EVERYTHING digital!!   My brain works better when things are organised, particularly on my computer, as I spend a lot of time there but in the other areas as well. To be fair, I am better at the digital organisation, so my physical world—office, wardrobe and bathroom drawers take a little more effort!   This weekend I decided my office needed a tidy up, so I got stuck in and did that, I submitted a medical aid claim that I should have done a month ago and then I decided to tackle my Chrome Bookmarks!!   I use Chrome extensively and being able to sync your bookmarks, so they're available on any device you use, is great! To achieve this, log into your Google account when you open Chrome, turn on the bookmark sync functionality and they will synchronise as you add or delete bookmarks from any device.   It's great when they're synchronised but if they're still in a mess, that's less useful. If you're anything like me, I have a squidillion bookmarks, that were all in a mess!   Chrome allows you to create folders in your bookmarks toolbar, so you can drag bookmarks across from one folder to another and you can also organise them alphabetically, which always makes it easier to find what you are looking for. The trick here, is to make sure when you save the bookmark, that you use an appropriate name and one that makes sense—to you!   I also discovered that you can open two instances of Chrome, show the bookmarks folder you want to work with in one and then drag the bookmarks across from the other instance into the relevant folder. Makes life SO much easier to get them organised.   I now have 12 folders in my Bookmarks Bar, with all the relevant bookmarks organised in alphabetical order inside each folder, saves me SO much time!   If you'd like some help getting your Chrome Bookmarks organised, drop me a DM and we'll get it sorted for you!   Big Hugs 🤗💖 Ursula   🥳   #igorganiszer #chromeupdate #chrometip #tipsntricks #organizingtips #digitalorganization #beorganized #getorganized #Chromehelp #googlechrome #chromebookmarks #bookmarking

  • I am sure you've all heard about Instagram, Facebook or email hoaxes or scams.   Typically they are messages that are sent to unsuspecting users alarming them about something or other and telling them that if they don't take some sort of specific action like 'click the link below to verify your account' it's going to be disabled or deleted or something worse.   I never thought I'd get one as a direct message on Instagram, but about two weeks ago I did. I received a message addressing me as 'Hello User' saying that the owner of a post I'd shared had complained about a copyright breach and if I didn't take the necessary action to confirm my account by replying to the message with "Hello" to be sent a link, my account was going to be deactivated in 24 hours. It looked legitimate with the Meta address and a case number at the bottom.   After the initial shock I realised that I hadn't ever shared someone else's posts on my account, so I decided to do some investigation. I did a Google search using the words 'Instagram hoaxes Hello User account will be deactivated' and found that it was indeed a scam and had been doing the rounds for a while.   Next, I went back to the message, found the username and looked that up through my Mount Shots IG account and found that it had no profile pic or bio, 0 posts, 10 followers and was following 135, definitely a hacker.   On this account, where I'd received the message, I reported the account as a scam or fraud, blocked the user and then deleted the message. I did the same on my Mount Shots account, reporting and blocking the user.   My advice is if you ever receive anything like this from an Instagram user, please don't do what they say. Do a Google search which I am sure will tell you it's a scam or hoax and then simply report and block the account and delete the message.   Too many innocent IG users are scared into doing something that then gives the hackers control of their accounts.   So, first breath, then Google, then report and block!!   🤗   #igorganiszer #igorganiszer4thewin #beconsistent #adaptable #beorganized #igtips #instagramming #techtips #igaccount #getorganized #getorganised #googlesearch

  • Well what a year 2023 has been!!   It started off like any other year with lots of things planned and lots of things to do but it ended up with a few twists and turns along the way!!   At the start of the year my IG OrganiSZer course wasn't progressing as well as I had hoped. My OrganiSZing Canva Course didn't do too badly but nothing was generating sufficient income for me, so I looked for contract work, doing a job from my past life as a tender writer and document specialist for construction companies.   All the while I was grateful for work from Antonia (@arapawabluepearls), helping with Klaviyo and Shopify, and it's still ongoing. In May SABRE Construction (@sabreconstruction) offered me some contract work and then it was all on.   Antonia needed help. Going to Alaska for two months for the salmon fishing season, someone had to look after their abalone and paua pearl business—I put my hand up, so from the 24th of May till the 6th of August I worked on Arapawa Island, while still doing the tender work for SABRE.   On my return home, my friend Susie from @soldonstaging asked me to help her get all her staging stock into an inventory system, so off I went to Wellington for a week to assist with that. Turns out it was MUCH bigger job than we thought and took a lot longer, but it's done!   In October, Spyda and I were back working at Arapawa Island for a month, which was amazing!   With all of this contract work, my course updates stalled and still incomplete, but as part of my first 12 Week Year (@12weekyear), I have been working away at them and making great progress!   2023 draws to a close with great aspirations for 2024 and so I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays and look forward to catching up next year!   Big Hugs Ursula   🤶   #igorganiszer #theboss #betheboss #beorganized #getorganized #digitalorganizer #plantosucceed #planforsuccess #organisetosucceed #organizetosucceed #organize4thewin #merrychristmas #happyholidays

  • OMG I am SO excited!!   I have just bought a new personalised number plate for my car!!   When I was doing Mount Shots I got the number plate MTSHOT which has been on my red Holden Trax ever since.   Unfortunately, I haven't had any time to spend on that business as the IG OrganiSZer has taken up all my time.   I've been thinking about it for a little while now but I've decided it's time to change my numberplate to match the business I'm focussing on so I've ordered it!   I think it's important as business owner, to carry your branding through everything that's connected with our business like your email address, your business cards, your electronic business card, your stationery, your invoicing, etc.   I know a personalised plate isn't everyone's cup of tea and although they're not completely unaffordable, it may seem like an unnecessary expense—even though it's fully tax deductible. It actually makes your vehicle expenses 100% tax deductible as well (in New Zealand anyway)!   The thing about it, is it's advertising for your business, so if you're out and about, you're advertising your business without any additional costs and it's a one-off expense!   I've reserved another domain name, digitalorganiszer.com which I am putting onto the plate as it points to my igorganiszer.com domain—two birds with one stone!   I am considering having some sign writing added in the new year but we'll have to see about that!   Anyway, I'll post a picture when I have attached the new plates!   I'm SOOOO excited, I can't wait!!!   PS: My car literally becomes part of my team!! • Businesses mostly consist of teams of people. Big businesses have big teams, small businesses probably still have at least one team, consisting of a few people.   When you're a solopreneur, you're it…chief, cook and bottlewasher!   That's the case with me, I am everyone in my team!   CEO - me 😊 Marketing Manager - let's see…oh that's me 🙄 Social Media Creator - definitely me 😁 BDO - oh yes, also me 😩 Creative Director - yes, yes, yes, me! 😁 CFO - umm yes, me too 🤔 Bookkeeper - me three 😩 PA - definitely me (for my husband too! 😂😂) HR Manager - no that's not me—well actually it is… 😖 Tea Lady - me 😣 Cleaner - me 😟 The Boss - definitely me! 😊   When you run your own business, all these jobs have to be done and when you have nobody to delegate to, they still have to be done!   The trick is to decide which are the ones that are most important in terms of generating income and which are most important in terms of growing your business so that ultimately, you may well grow into a team of people so that you do not need to wear all of these different hats!   In the beginning it's fun and a bit overwhelming having to do everything as you get to know what each job entails, well to a certain degree but very quickly we learn which we like doing and which we're not that keen on.   The important thing to do as a solopreneur is to realise that even though you may not like doing some of the jobs, if they are what's required to make a success of your business, then you'd better just get your big girl or big boy pants on and get on with it, as there are no others to point fingers at when things don't turn out the way you wanted them to!   I LOVE the freedom that being The Boss gives me and I take heart in the fact that I'm not the only one in the world on this journey and there are many of us to support each other along the way!   Oh and being organized makes it all SO much easier!!   Always happy to help where I can! Big Hugs 🤗💝💖 Ursula   🎁   #igorganiszer #theboss #betheboss #socialmediacreator #blogwriter #hrmanager #creativedirector #cfo #ceo #beorganized #getorganized #digitalorganizer #plantosucceed #planforsuccess #organisetosucceed #organizetosucceed
