This week, we had the privilege of hosting an insightful event centered around a topic often overlooked in workplace wellness discussions: menopause. We were privileged to be joined by an expert in this field – Rene Schliebs. Menopause isn't just a personal journey; it's a universal experience that impacts countless individuals within our workforce. Yet, it's often shrouded in silence and stigma. That's why we took the initiative to open up the conversation and shed light on this crucial phase of life. At AMP, we believe that fostering a culture of inclusivity and support means addressing the diverse needs of our team members, and menopause is no exception. By raising awareness and providing resources, we're not only prioritising the well-being of our colleagues but also fostering an environment of empathy and understanding. 🤝💖 Let's continue to break down barriers, amplify voices, and create workplaces where everyone feels seen, heard, and supported, no matter what stage of life they're in.

Honoring our past: Standing with the New Zealand Remembrance Army At AMP, we're proud to partner with the New Zealand Remembrance Army, an incredible organisation dedicated to caring for the graves of our servicemen and women. Approximately 155,000 veterans lie in family plots or cemeteries, often lacking the care they deserve. The Remembrance Army steps up, meticulously maintaining these resting places and ensuring our heroes are never forgotten. But their work goes beyond cleaning. They delve into service records, researching and sharing veterans' stories on social media. It's a powerful tribute to their sacrifices. 🎥 Watch the video below to find out more. By honoring our past, we build a stronger future. #ANZAC #RemembranceArmy

Today, at AMP, we pause to remember and honour the courageous men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. As part of our longstanding tradition, we held our annual 'Commemoration of the Fallen' ceremony in our offices today. We were deeply honored to have representatives from the NZ Army stand with us, reaffirming the bond between our organisation and those who protect our nation. In Auckland, our ceremony was enriched by the music of the Brotherhood Band. Today, we honour not just the sacrifices of the past but also reaffirm our dedication to preserving their memory. Lest we forget. #ANZAC #LestWeForget

🎓 Congratulations to the graduates of the Maea Hokai Tu leadership course! 🎉 AMP is thrilled to congratulate the 18 exceptional individuals who have successfully completed our 12-month leadership journey. This course embodies dedication, commitment, and passion. The name 'Maea Hokai Tu' was carefully chosen to mirror the unique objectives and outcomes of the programme: 🌟 Maea – stepping into leadership opportunities 🌟 Hokai – embracing those opportunities at every turn 🌟 Tu – standing in one's own leadership mana and crafting a personal leadership journey. Investing in our leadership pipeline is not just beneficial, but essential for AMP's continued success. As Alex Snaddon, one of our delegates, aptly puts it: "Leadership is not a position, title, or role - it is a contribution, and we can all be leaders. It is how we set the conditions to excel, create the space for others, and drive change." Each graduate has embarked on a journey to embrace leadership opportunities and cultivate their own leadership mana. Congratulations once again to all of them on their remarkable achievement! #LeadershipDevelopment #Congratulations

Rainbow Tick encourages our certified organizations to engage externally with Rainbow communities. In the following interview, AMP New Zealand talks about their partnership with Āhuru Pūmanawa, a house providing transitional housing specifically for the transgender community. "AMP has been a proud Rainbow Tick accredited company since 2018, and we have a genuine desire to continue strengthening our commitment to being a safe, welcoming and inclusive place for people of all rainbow communities.   "It was through our connection to Rainbow Tick that we became aware of Āhuru Pūmanawa. Āhuru Pūmanawa is a house providing transitional housing specifically for the trans community. It was created to be a safe place for trans tāngata to live while working through the challenges of establishing their personal place within society. We were attracted to the partnership because it provides such tangible, positive and personal help to people who are transitioning, people who need support in such a vulnerable time of life.   "The partnership began with one of our HR team spending time with Nunubelz Davey, Ringa Āwhina Tangata | Support Worker at Āhuru Pūmanawa. Through these meetings we were able to gain an understanding of the needs of the tāngata and how AMP could add value.   "One of the areas we identified where we could help was throughout the process of finding employment. We are proud that AMP has been able to supply a brand new laptop for the house members to use for job searching. We’ve also provided templates for covering letters and CVs, and a workbook guide to help the members work through as they search for a role and attend interviews. Personalised 1:1 job search coaching help has also been offered to house members.   "We give each house member a Kmart gift voucher for personal items, along with a card signed by our Executive team when they arrive at the house. We commenced the partnership by sharing a lovely morning tea at the house, talking with the tāngata to connect with them and show them who we were, and that we care." The response to climate change is shifting the way we generate and use energy, transitioning from a fossil fuel economy to one based on renewables. Our latest story made in partnership with AMP looks at their Global Climate Fund, a new investment fund seeking to invest approximately $500m over the next few years, targeting the infrastructure that society and the economy needs to transition from a fossil fuel economy to a renewable one.
