I am a Senior Counsellor & Family Therapist, having worked with clients since 2002, supporting people with life transitions, grief, emotional dysregulation, depression, anxiety, and many other issues. My specialty areas are communication upskilling; conflict management; working with couples (of any gender or gender combination) through relationship & life issues, including ethical non-monogamy; ageing & midlife and the effects on couple connection; step-family dynamics; separating with dignity; negotiating emotional, physical & sexual connection; grief & loss support for all.

I worked in corporate roles for 28 years, before moving to full time private practice in 2014, so I understand the complexities and challenges of corporate working environments, including organisational dynamics, communication patterns and the pressures inherent in professional settings. My therapeutic approach integrates this contextual awareness to help individuals build resilience, address power imbalances, and develop strategies for emotional well-being and professional empowerment.

The counselling I offer is about making change, and making change stick. Clients regularly leave sessions with several things to work on between appointments. My website is extensive, and I'm told it gives an accurate impression of me, when clients meet me in person.

I'm based in Ellerslie North, Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland - the clinic is central, easy to get to, and has private onsite parking. Online appointments are available, though I prefer in-person sessions whenever possible, as I find them more effective, as do my clients.
