Kinfolk Leather is a small New Zealand business specialising in handcrafted custom dog collars and leads. Each piece is individually made to order in our Bay of Plenty workshop and shipped throughout New Zealand and worldwide.

We make premium leather dog collars and leads using full-grain Italian vegetable-tanned leather, chosen for its quality, character and the way it develops with use. Our leather collars are available in a range of widths, colours and sizes, with solid brass or silver hardware and a variety of custom options.

Our waterproof BioThane® dog collars and leads offer a practical, easy-care alternative to leather. Available in a wide range of colours and sizes, BioThane® is strong, waterproof and easy to clean, making it particularly useful for dogs that spend plenty of time outdoors, at the beach or in the water.

Personalisation is a key part of the Kinfolk Leather range. Many of our leather and BioThane® dog collars can be fitted with a hand-stamped brass or stainless steel nameplate displaying your dog's name and contact details.

Our range also includes classic buckle dog collars, O-ring and field collars, martingale collars, lightweight ID collars, long lines and training leads, standard dog leads, hands-free adjustable leads and other custom designs.

Because our products are made to order rather than mass produced, customers can choose from different sizes, widths, colours, hardware and customisation options to create a collar or lead suited to their dog.
