Introducing Ken Wilson Meats …
Ken Wilson Meats (KWM) has been involved in the meat trade for many many years. The original Ken Wilson was a meat trader based in Wellington. In 1989 he sold his business to Rod and Scot Preston. Rod now owns the business and has been part of a retail butchering tradition in Wellington stretching back over 110 years. Rod is also the ‘Preston’ part of Taylor Preston, a large export-focused meat works based in Wellington.

KWM ‘s primary clients are butchers, supermarkets, brokers, and manufacturers. Based in Wellington, we have clients located all around the country. In fact, Wellington is a very good transport hub, and product can generally be delivered to most North Island destinations overnight.

Under the Preston ownership KWM has grown to be a significant force in the meat trade. We handle around 8,000 tonnes of meat per year. This includes:

• Beef cuts & carcasses,
• Lamb cuts & carcasses,
• Mutton carcasses,
• Pig cuts & carcasses,
• Fresh offal,
• Bobby veal,
• Goat,
• NZ & Imported product

KWM also has extensive contacts in the wider broker community and can therefore generally source all your meat requirements. All our product is cold boned at Taylor Preston under very strict guidelines and export regulations.

KWM is also the licensee of the Natural Farm brand in New Zealand. This is an international brand that Taylor Preston uses in Europe, Scandinavia, and Russia. With its distinctive logo and colours it has received wide acceptance in the New Zealand market.
