About Dr. Kumari Fernando

I am a clinical psychologist in Dunedin (New Zealand). I also have a practice in Christchurch, where I meet with clients monthly. My areas of interest/specialty are: mood problems, anxiety, stress, self-esteem, rumination (overthinking), relationship work, gender/transgender issues, eating disorders, mindfulness, cognitive behaviour therapy (including supervision) and schema therapy. I have an interest in working with individuals with an intellectual disability (including those who have a dual diagnosis which can include Autistic Spectrum Disorder, Anxiety/Mood disorder or Personality Disorder).
