Simulated Learner, Restricted and Full Driving Test

07/02/2012 Simulated Learner, Restricted and Full Driving Test

For more information or to make a booking please call on the number below.

We can help you pass your learners, restricted and full test by running through a simulated driving test, in which we cover the driving test area and give you a breakdown of what you need to work on and what the testing officers are looking for.

Each testing officer has 3 different test routes for the restricted and full test, and they are all different from each testing officer. (But they do overlap because of limited test time and road conditions) Most testing officers use the full route as part 1 or 2 for the restricted test.

Focus more on the right turns and randomly changing lanes on dual lane roads. Dead End streets are where you will normally do 3 point turns, u turns or parallel parking.

Marking Criteria

  • 8 Points for turning
  • 6 Points for backing and parking
  • 4 Points for straight driving

  • Mirror use: That you check your mirrors before and after turning, changing lanes and when driving straight, as appropriate (about every 10-15 seconds).
  • Signal usage: That you signal in the appropriate direction for at least three seconds before turning, changing lanes, diverging and merging.
  • Head checks: That you check over your shoulder in the appropriate direction before turning or changing lanes.
