Abbie Gardiner – Makeup artist with a passion! Abbie came to SRA as a student in 2006. She had 2 small children and made the decision to retrain into an industry that she loved and was passionate about; Makeup!
She completed the 32 week part time course with flying colours and graduated with Merit. After graduating she set about getting herself out into the industry. At first she freelanced in two completely different genres, makeup and music videos! “The course at SRA gave me the confidence to get out there and take on any challenge”
Abbie now freelances at MAC, still takes wedding bookings and is a part time trainer at SRA. “I love being able to pass on my knowledge and love of this industry to the up and coming stars of tomorrow”. Abbie was part of the Design Team at Fashion Week this year – her feedback “fantastic experience, great for the students, can’t wait for next year!”
Abbie’s goals for 2009 – extend my skill set to include Air Brushing and get into more Special Effects.
