Our Wellington branch was recently visited by Echo, a remarkable avalanche search and rescue dog, along with Lisa Jaggi and Dave Heads from Search and Rescue Dogs Avalanche NZ (SARDA). SARDA is a crucial volunteer organisation, with 18 skilled dogs based at key ski resorts across New Zealand, dedicated to swiftly locating skiers in avalanche emergencies. Echo amazed the team with impressive tricks, showcasing his intelligence and agility. From the classic roll-over to the extraordinary ability to solve "Echo – what’s three plus three?" with six short barks! Rothbury sponsors more than 100 community, sporting and charitable organisations nationwide and our Wellington branch is proud to continue supporting SARDA. This is the second year we've worked together to create their annual calendar, where the money raised goes to support the running of their organisation. Last year’s calendar featured Echo in the month of April!
