About Zizania Paper Products (2007) Ltd

We make handmade paper out of Zizania Latifolia, Manchurian Rice Grass, which grows along the banks of the Northern Wairoa River. The paper made can be natural rice grass, have kauri chips in it, seeds, mohair and/or kumara. We also make card which can be printed on with an ink-jet printer. We run workshops on paper making, book making and sell boxes in which you can present special gifts.

The Mill is situated in a purpose built handmade block building and offers a special place to spend quiet time. The surrounding countryside is tranquil, you can spend time with Highland Cattle and Angora Goats. Take part in whatever chore is happening at the time. Enjoy!!

Adjacent to the Mill is a self contained, self catering one bedroom Pavilion. A restored sports pavilion.

The buildings are set amongst extensive gardens and lakes which can be walked at leisure and enjoyed at your own pace.

The magnificent long white sand beach, with entrance at Glinks Gully is only 8 minutes away.

A very special place. The Kauri Coast is waiting for you to spend time here.
