(09/11/2009)Rotorua Aeroclub offers flight training for recreational fliers of all abilities. Microlight aircraft are ideal for taking those first few flights to see if you really have what it takes! Microlights are quick and responsive and yet able to travel long distances comfortably.
If you are training towards a General Aviation PPL or CPL, some microlight flight time can be credited towards your licence at a much cheaper rate than GA aircraft.
The club works in closely with other airport operators who can take you on to the GA route if that is where your future lies, or you can develop your skills in the recreational side with the club planes. Either way, having a few hours training with Rotorua Aeroclub to begin your life of flying is a great idea.
