Welcome to Positive Coordination – Kim and Jeanette Murphy-Stewart have 30 years experience in social and community development.
Positive Coordination started in 2010 with the goal of providing support services to help communities grow. No matter what type of industry or organisation, we can help build that community. Kim's background is in social development where he has been an educator, a manager and a practitioner. Jeanette's background is in community development where she has been a conference organiser, coordinator, trainer and fundraiser.

Positive Coordination is Kim and Jeanette Murphy-Stewart. They have operated as Possible Partnership since 2006 and registered their company Positive Coordination in September 2010. This change reflects their focus, structure and the combination of their extensive skills and knowledge
Kim is 59 years old, worked for the Department of Social Welfare for 15 years as a social worker. Completed three years as the Community Services Manager at Te Whanau O Waipareira Trust then spent four years at Northshore Hospital as the social work manager. Later moved to Wellington and spent seven years as lecturer in Social Work for Te Wananga O Aotearoa. Main focus has been research, education and academic discussion on Matua Whangai as a social work practice in the present day. He now resides in Whangarei.
Jeanette Murphy-Stewart is 45 years old married to Kim and they have two children. She is Ngati Honihoni, Ngaituteauru of Ngapuhi. Jeanette has worked at Department of Social Welfare for nine years. Six years as the Coordinator for Waipareira Community House and three years as the Coordinator for the Waitakere Workers Education Association. Moved to Wellington and was the Coordinator of the Jackson Street Main Street programme for two years. Seven years as the Executive Coordinator for Summerfruit NZ. Her main focus has been marketing, communication, event and project coordination, whanau and community development. She now resides in Whangarei.
