Skipper Chris Harvey can take you to mussel farms that are spread throughout the Sounds, a key industry in Havelock that make it the Greenshell Mussel Capital of the WORLD. Also if you have the time we can visit a salmon farm.
Chris's trips through the labyrinth of waterways are entertaining and informative, he can relate many stories of the area and its occupants. His family were the first settlers in the deep Pelorus, arriving into the Sounds in the 1840's.
