About New Zealand China Friendship Society Inc

The New Zealand China Friendship Society (NZCFS) has been working with NZ-China relations for nearly 60 years. Its fundamental aim is to promote friendship and goodwill between the people of the two countries. Activities include tours to China, encouraging two-way visits, fostering interest in the study of Chinese language within New Zealand, facilitating New Zealand English teachers to China, and active participation in sister-city relations. NZCFS has also been involved in delivering many projects in China, for example disaster relief projects after the 2008 Sichuan earthquake and poverty reduction projects in poor areas of China.
There are regional branches throughout New Zealand, where regular meetings are held. Programmes include banquets, welcoming Chinese visitors, film evenings, talks on aspects of Chinese civilization and culture, etc. Everyone is welcome to attend and become a member, please feel free to contact the secretary Heiko Lade for further inquiries.
