The Metro Wood Fire range gives exceptional performance and long life, presented in a compact stylish form at an affordable price and when combined with Metro Heat Transfer Systems, heated air produced by these super efficient fires can be pumped throughout the house, making homes warmer, drier, and healthier.

Metro's wetback design has been fine-tuned with almost 35 years of development. They consist of a heavy cast heat sink with a copper coil pressed into a medium of carbon paste, then sealed with graphite cement. The result is a wetback that gives maximum heat transfer from the firebox into the hot water, with minimal cooling effect on the fire.

The Metro Pellet Fire range are very clean burning and offer exceptional heating efficiencies as they achieve 80% efficiency and above, with particulate emissions of 0.5 grams per kilogram of fuel burned. There is a timer and thermostat to start and stop them automatically and the fuel is sustainable, not fossil-based, and almost entirely carbon neutral. Operating costs are comparable to gas or electricity.
