Home to the famous "Great Walks Special" $130 per person. Bev's Tramping Gear Hire, based in Te Anau, is the place to hire all your tramping/hiking and camping equipment. We can help you out whether you are going on one of New Zealand's great walks for the first time, or need to hire ice axe and crampons for big winter missions.
Bookings We recommend that you book ahead to hire tramping equipment. Booking is essential for all large orders between November and March. A non-refundable $50 booking deposit is required per person.

This can be paid by sending us your credit card details or you can pay by internet banking. Please make sure to leave your name as reference.
Hiring When hiring equipment we require a deposit such as a passport or a signed sales voucher (credit card imprint). We can send gear nationwide (NZ), but prefer pickups from our shop in Te Anau to ensure proper fitting. Also you can take gear away and arrange for it to be sent back to our shop. We can safely store your vehicle or gear at no additional cost.
Tramping Information Bev and the crew in Te Anau have extensive tramping experience, having tramped all around New Zealand for decades. Come in and chat to plan your next big trip!
